At one point in time the chocolate chip cookie that we all know and love today ceased to exist, that is until 1938 when Ruth Graves Wakefield made a happy little accident and created the first chocolate chip cookie. Her intention was originally to made a chocolate cookie however, she was missing a crucial element - baking chocolate. Wakefield improvised and instead chopped up a semi-sweet chocolate bar to mix into the recipe. What she happened upon was the birth of the chocolate chip cookie. Over the years the chocolate chip cookie's popularity skyrocketed. What started as an accident rapidly spread through homes to mass production to other parts of the world. This rise has lead to the chocolate chip cookie becoming quite the American staple.

Crave's Classic Chocolate Chip Cookie is phenomenal. It's the perfect ratio of chocolate to cookie. This traditional favorite is sure to be a hit at your next event.
Over the years the original chocolate chip cookie has been stylized in a variety of ways. At Crave Cookie Company, they have a few cookies that have taken your basic chocolate chip recipe and twisted them to create Dark Chocolate Salted Peanut Butter Pretzel and Heavenly Mocha Chunk.
